The New Creation (1964, 2010). wath the following incisive remark regarding the Euchsnst and the human condition: Christ 1s present to us in so far as we are present to ezch other. We are born with a constitutional inability 0 live together in love: we achieve a precarious unity onlyv with great difficulty and for a short time; there is z flaw in the very flesh we have inherited which makes for division between us. The very thing which makes us one. the fact that we come into existence as members of one family. is the source of our isolation. The narure in which we are bomn is twisted and tends 10 isolate us from each other...
