INTERROGATING POLYGAMY AND FORCED MARRIAGE IN THE NIGERIAN SOCIETY: A REVIEW OF RASHEEDAH LIMAN'S HEART OF A WOMAN
BOOK REVIEW
Abstract
One of the fundamental thematic focuses of contemporary Nigerian Playwrights is the issue of family. The discourse of family permeated the works of notable playwrights of earlier generations like Wole Soyinka, Ola Rotimi, Zulu Sofola, J.P Clark, AhmedYerima among others. However, the later generations have adopted a different microscopic lens in specifically looking into the closer politics obtainable at the micro family unit. Rasheedah Liman falls within this category.
