Teacher Resourcefulness as a Key to Improving the use of Instructional Materials in Teaching and Learning of Mathematics in Primary Schools in Anambra State

Abstract

This paper looked at teacher’s resourcefulness as a key to improving the use of instructional materials in teaching and learning of mathematics in primary schools in Anambra State. Here the concept of resourcefulness of the teacher were examined, the qualities a resourceful teacher must possess. The need to use instructional materials in teaching mathematics and the types of instructional materials were also examined. Ways of; upgrading the teachers knowledge of using Audio, and Audio-visual aids in teaching and improvising some of the aids were also discussed. The paper recommended in service-training for teachers. The government should also supply instructional material to schools.
