Abstract

The growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various sectors, including business, necessitates a reformation of educational practices, particularly at the secondary school level. This study explores the integration of AI into Business Studies in secondary schools in Awka, Anambra State, with a dual focus on economics and Business knowledge. Recognizing the gaps in *the current curriculum, the study seeks to evaluate existing educational practices, identify the resources and training needs for educators, and propose a comprehensive framework for embedding AI concepts in the curriculum. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, utilizing surveys, interviews, and curriculum analysis to gather data from students, educators, and educational administrators. The findings aim to highlight the importance of developing critical skills such as digital literacy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving among students, thereby enhancing their preparedness for future leadership roles. This study underscores the potential economic benefits of integrating AI into the educational framework, emphasizing how equipping students with these skills can drive local and regional economic development. Ultimately, it aims to contribute to the ongoing discourse on educational innovation in Nigeria and provide actionable insights for policymakers and educators seeking to align secondary education with the demands of a technology driven economy. Through this integration, the study aspires to foster a new generation of informed, tech savvy leaders capable of navigating the complexities of the modern business environment.
