Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Contributions to this journal should exhibit the following characteristics:

  • Openness to and proficient understanding of Scripture and Tradition.
  • Openness to the context under discussion and its problems
  • Deep and critical reflection and evaluation of the problems which people encounter in living out their faith.
  • Manuscripts, written single line spaced, should not exceed 12 pages of paper size A4.
  • Full bibliographical data should be provided for all references at the first citation, while abbreviations or short titles shall be used for subsequent citations. Do not use ‘Ibid’ or ‘Op cit’. No bibliography is therefore required at the end of the article.
  • Quotations in Hebrew, Greek or any ancient language shall be transliterated and translated.
  • The use of inclusive language is normative.
  • Contributions are accepted with the understanding that they had not been published previously or accepted for publication elsewhere.
  • Articles are sent by e-mail to the editor before 15th
  • Authors shall be notified of acceptance, rejection or proposed revision of their manuscripts.
  • In all, preference is given to well-researched papers which comply with the regulations above.
