Resumen

The vocation of a theological sounding is to help students articulate the questions their apostolic experiences pose to our Christian faith. Our sharing during the two-day exercise was very rich and challenging. My mission is to propose certain theological guidelines for further reflection towards the resolution of some of the questions we have raised. A major concern runs through the stories told during our sharing: Christians of all categories are cut up in the dilemma between the demands of their cultures and their Christian faith. The question is: how can theology help to resolve this dilemma? Considering that SIST is a seat of contextual theology. I propose here a triple methodology for the resolution of theological problems, a schema that will always come up in our classrooms, term papers, seminars and project writings: contextualisation, decontexualisation and recontextualisation.
