Debates and discussions about pollution, deforestation, global warming and other related environmental problems used to be considered in Africa as Western issues but today, there is hardly anybody in any part of the world, no matter how remote the arca is, that is not aware of and worried about the situation of the natural environment."” Things are changing rapidly as far as the natural environment is concerned and these changes are affecting human beings adversely. In some places rains no longer fall when they usually do and in other places life is threatened by inundations. The earth is groaning in pains as a result of the indiscriminate exploitation and assault which it is undergoing primarily from the hands of the human members of the community of creation. This exploitation is taking place on daily basis and the effects are very much at home with us. It is believed that if the present situation is left unattended to, the entire world is in danger of annihilation,
