CONTEMPORARY AFRICAN PHILOSOPHY: AWOISM

Résumé

A people’s philosophy is the totality of their worldview and experience of life and existence. It is based on this that the African people, enjoy a rich expression of their worldviews and experiences that have grown over several periods and epochs. This evident fact therefore brings to our consciousness the reality that African philosophy has both modern and contemporary philosophies and notable of which is the philosophy called Awoism which is a philosophy that explicitly projects the turning of African philosophy into ethnology and Anthropology.
