Abstract

Culture and tradition are a way of people’s life. It is through culture and traditions that the Igbos showcases their life, world view and belief. Traditional drama is one of the ways through which cultures, traditions and beliefs are showcased and this is prevalent in Igbo land. This research work looked at traditional drama and brought to fore the Èkpètraditional drama of the Ólōkōrō Igbo people. This research is a descriptive type of research whereby the researchers described the Ólōkōrō Igbo people and one of their unique traditional dramas embedded in ritualism.
