The increasing belief in the power of education to transform the society makes education an essential commodity for stimulating every segment of human and national growth and development. In Nigeria, education is officially regarded as an instrument per excellence for national growth and development; it is therefore, needed for social, economic, political and technological transformation of individuals and society. Educational organizations require lots of resources which happen to be scarce and the need to achieve the organizational goals with little resources depends largely on effective resources management. Educational management basically, deals with the controlling of educational resources, which is fundamental in reducing waste and inefficiency. This paper defines the concepts sustainable development.
